Energy Clearing Methods

This is a follow-up to an  American Society of Dowsers Teleconference, January 14, 2020 with Tick Gaudreau and Brandon Dey available on their Members Only page. See www.dowsers.org.

First, a disclaimer.

As organizer of two monthly teleconferences for the American Society of Dowsers from 1/2018 to 3/2020, I have brought on various dowsers to discuss a number of topics for our member’s continuing education and to spark their own thinking and personal investigation. As there is value in examining different perspectives and methods, disagreement is allowed.

Each of us has our own beliefs and ‘map of the world’ which is heavily influenced by our prior training,  culture, and yes, religious, spiritual and philosophical orientation. But especially is this true in the area of dealing with detrimental energies.

Basics to all clearing work

  • Deal with your own fear first. Fear weakens your field.

Before attempting to clear detrimental energies, first gather your own strength by grounding and pulling up the energy from the earth, then centering, letting go of extraneous thoughts, worries, upsetting emotions, and bring your mind into a narrow focus. Hold a strong intention to connect to the Source of divine wisdom and power.

  • Attitude is critically important.

Like fear, thoughts of hopelessness, grief, shame, guilt or being a victim weaken your energy field. Whether you inherited such from your ancestors, absorbed them from your family or culture, or brought them forward from other timelines, these have to be dealt with. You can do this with dowsing, and I teach people how to do this.

  • Build up your energy.

Clearing takes energy. So build yours through good basic self care, especially with adequate sleep and good food, but also with joy, laughter, inspiration, and connection with friends and family. Love, gratitude and joy build your field. Get excited about what you are doing. Music is hugely helpful. Singing, dancing and drumming also raises energy.

  • Claim your true identity as a powerful spiritual being.

Instead of fearing what is out there and the possibility of being attacked,  claim your sovereignty over your own mind, body and life. Stamp your feet and claim the ground you walk upon. Order unwanted energies out of your space. Claim your home as holy ground.

  • Claim your connection with your spiritual source

If you have trouble connecting to Source, connect your 3rd eye to the 3rd eye of a guru or saint and ask them to show you the way or to connect you (patch you in as with an old time telephone switchboard). Follow the energy beam up from their crown to Source, and then bring a line down from Source to you. Then once you are connected directly to Source, disconnect from your spiritual guru.

  • Join forces.

If your obstacle or adversary seems daunting, do the clearing with others. Combined focused intention is powerful. Never go into battle with very dark energies alone. Surround yourself with powerful spiritual help first, and ask ‘can I, may I, should I’ before proceeding. You may also want to have others work with you on a group intention. There is truth to the expression “where two or three of you are gathered together, there I am in the midst of you.”

  • Deal with your own issues because they are the ‘hook’ by which negativity attaches.

Your own unhealed wounds, traumas, issues, ego, anger, hatred, etc. all attract resonating energies. For example, earthbound alcoholics will gravitate to people to encourage them to drink so that they can re-experience the drink vicariously. This is true with all addictions. Angry or fearful people will attract entities that feed off of that energy. Like attracts like. Once attached, these entities will make changing destructive behavior much harder.

Low energy emotions may be caused by entities but they also enable entities to attach because of holes or tears in the aura and an overall weakness in the field. Do something to get out of your funk first before clearing. This can be listening to something funny, playing happy, calming or inspirational music. I like Tibetan bowls. Doing any kind of exercise, singing or dancing not only raises your energy but gets more oxygen to your brain that helps you to think better.

  • Work with light and the emotions of love, gratitude and joy.

One method of dealing with detrimental energies is to simply to surround yourself in white light, or the higher harmonic of gold, or St. Germaine’s purifying violet flame. Certainly, deliberately seeking what you consider divine and trying to raise your own vibrations by focusing on love and gratitude and joy are immensely important.

I have installed an anchor on my body, which when it is touched triggers both the thought and the feeling “I am loved.” Then as I think of people I love that love and support me, it gives me strength to deal with a challenge. Having pictures around of loved ones is helpful, as is wearing something from them. Jewelry works well here.

  • Harness the steady power of focused thought and emotion.

Remember your power to create through thought and emotion. What is created can also be shifted or uncreated. Ideally, aim to create more energy in the positive direction that was in the negative intention.

  • Thought form shields

Many energies fall in the category of psychic pollution that can be easily deflected with a thought form mirror, or another thought form spiral that carries negative energies into a purifying fire.

  • Prayer circles

Here is a way to gather strength before you do a clearing. Hold your hands out to your sides and imagine holding the hands of people that love and support you. It doesn’t matter if they are living or dead. Keep adding people until you have a big enough circle. If you want, you can put another circle behind you covering your back and your inner circle. The outer circle can be made up of angels etc. – powerful spiritual forces that love you. Ask those in your circle to join you in your intention to remove all interference from you being able to ____ ( fulfill your purpose in life, create harmony  etc.).

  • Beliefs will determine how you approach clearing.

If you feel demonics, etc. are unredeemable, you might want Archangel Michael to cast them into hell. But if you believe that there is a spark of light within all created beings, then you may try to get them to switch sides, remove their shackles to the dark overlords, and have the angels escort them to a place of healing and re-education.

If you feel that sending deliberately directed evil intent back to the sender will only cause a ping pong game of the energy going back and forth, then you will just scramble the frequency and return that energy to Source harmless and formless. You could also put a reverse spin on it so that what has evil intent actually blesses you in some way. Or you could just ask that it be converted into all that is good and wholesome/beneficial, etc.

But if you feel that everyone needs to experience the natural consequences of their actions so that they can learn not to do that, then you will send their evil intention back to the sender/creator of such curse.

If you feel that even your adversaries have the creator’s light within them, then you might remove the entities attached to them. At which point, such person would be able to more easily return to his perfection at creation, or continue to work with darkness and attract more entities as a result— their choice. You could also do Ho’Oponopono regarding them.

  • No one or right way that works for everyone and every situation

As you read, study, work with professional energy clearers, you will develop a variety of methods that regardless of whether such methods have worked for others will, nonetheless, have to be tested by you to find what works and when the job is done.  This is a process of experimentation, observation, correction, and more experimentation.

When Enough is Enough

The Value of Anger to Mobilize Corrective Action

There is sometimes great value in being pushed to your limits. Maybe someone does that same annoying thing to you one time too many. Or a person or a group crosses the line over which you can no longer tolerate their objectionable behavior. Rosa Parks got to that point, refused to give her bus seat to a white person, and the Civil Rights Movement was born.

Perhaps there is an inherent laziness in us that does not want to get involved and take a stand. After all, it takes time and energy away from other things. Maybe we fear that if we raise our hand up to object, it will be cut off. Or perhaps we are so overwhelmed and preoccupied with what we consider more important that we feel we can’t or don’t want to deal with it, especially with bullshit. Maybe we just want to focus on what is more enjoyable. And perhaps we prefer to simply deny or ignore what is happening or not happening and hope the problem will disappear on it’s own.

This makes our adversaries bolder, more confident in their ability to get away with it again. But there comes a time when we individually or collectively feel that nebulous, very subjective line has been crossed and we regardless of not wanting to get involved, feel pushed to mobilize.

It is only with clear objectives in knowing what we want, and having clear boundaries that we get off the couch to take appropriate, corrective action.

It would great if the problem was as simple (and it is usually neither quick nor simple) as replacing leadership. Certainly with government, the problem goes way beyond the specific politician regardless of what country you talk about. There is always the power and big money interests or lobbies behind the throne. And then there are controllers behind them with their minions.

Yet, we are not powerless.

We hold within us the power of intention, the power to focus and project that intention, and the ability to gather together in groups to do so. This is HUGE! Stephen Schwartz, Tom Campbell, Lynne McTaggert all say that focused, collective intention can create miracles, and change reality. But intention has to be clear and steady. And while it is helpful to know what you don’t want in order to identify the positive opposite that you do, the intention has to focus on the positive objective of what you do want.

I am involved in a number of organizations. All groups whether they are religious, spiritual or political, sub-division or government, professional or social, commercial or non-profit are prone to dissension simply because they are made up of imperfect humans.

With one organization in particular, I was on the sidelines witnessing for years the needless battles, drama, disharmony and dysfunction that eroded it’s higher purpose and even threatened it’s continued existence. And while part of the problem stemmed as it always does from unhealed wounds, ego, jealousy, desire for control, and personal agenda or gain that creates chaos in any group, I and many others felt that behind the discord was an organized attack upon the organization precisely because it’s higher objective was to be a beacon of hope and to serve humanity.

I am convinced that in addition to the ordinary human frailties there was and continues to be an external, organized, and deliberate detrimental energetic force directed at it with an agenda to divide and conquer, to create fear, disharmony, chaos and suffering, weakness and confusion, despair and hopelessness, dysfunction and dissolution. I see this same dark energy at work in the world at large. I say this because I am sensitive to energies and I can feel them. I call this force evil without having to put it into a religious framework.

I have reached a point where I have drawn a line in the sand, and say no more!

Consequently, I have been actively teaching “Heal Yourself to Heal Your World”. I teach my clients and students how to locate and heal their own wounds, to connect to their personal power, grounding, center to let go of preconceived notions and ego, connecting to the source of their higher wisdom and spiritual guidance to know what is their’s to do and how to proceed. I teach tools including Ho’Oponopono to address the resonating qualities within ourselves of the problems we see in the world. And I am also on a campaign also to bring to the awareness of others how to recognize and deal with detrimental energies of many types. I already have  a number of blog articles on this topic. But right now, black magic is on my radar.

“Can Dowsing Mitigate the Problem of Evil?”

The short answer is ‘yes’!
But how do you define evil?
  • Knowingly doing harm to another: Besides our usual list, this might include commercial wrongdoing as with a company that does not reveal a danger about using their product, hides such knowledge, or denies such danger when questioned. Another would be a private individual so intent on selling something that they hide the fact a serious problem that would/could most likely cause injury or death- both examples of greed or financial gain over ethical responsibility.
  • Knowingly not doing something to save an individual from serious harm when you could easily do so – for example, not throwing someone a lifeline if they fall overboard to save their life.

Bad behavior is not just a product of character. It is frequently influenced by external detrimental energies of many kinds that aggravate or accentuate a person’s weaknesses such as greed, lust, ego, and the desire for power and control. Where the person is willing, dowsing can help heal many of these issues directly and to remove such outside influences.

One such influence is geopathic stress. Geopathic stress zones makes it easier for inter dimensional portals to open up and entities to enter a space. It drains energy, causes illness and makes it harder for a person to function at their best. Dowsing can close those portals and remove the entities or energies that have come through.

On this call we discussed other forms of detrimental energies such as curses, black magic, detrimental thought forms, ghosts, other entity interference – all of which cause discord, confusion, turmoil, and suffering in the world.

Tick Gaudreau is a long time dowser and dowsing instructor, former President and current Treasurer of the American Society of Dowsers . He is author of Spirit Rescue: A Dowser’s Ghostly Encounters, and the Care and Treatment of Wild Energies

Brandon Dey developed a system called Quantum Dowsing that he claims greatly

increases dowsing accuracy. He has been a presenter at the American Society of Dowsers conventions.

The Ties that Bind

The end of the year and beginning of another is the usual time to reflect back over the past before thinking of where you want to go in the future. But moving forward can mean cleaning up loose ends and detaching from limitations that include detrimental energetic cords to people, places and things that would keep you stuck.

Energy Cords

Whenever you are in close proximity to others, when you are interacting or communicating, energy flows between you. When you are even thinking of someone, the thought and any related emotions are sent out on an energetic beam to that person, who may or may not be aware of it. A strong focused energy beam especially through concentration, a desire to effect that person, or a strong emotion can create a cord. Some cords are temporary and fade away when you are no longer thinking of them or the emotion dies away. But if you have a significant or continued interaction with someone as with a family member, lover or friend that energy beam and the connecting point/s can take on a more permanent structure. Thoughts, intentions and emotions can pass either way along the cord. Cords are created both by you, and by others that attach to you.

Energetic cords can be to anyone or anything – people, pets, places, homes, possessions, jobs, positions, physical abilities, and even your sense of self. Repetitive thoughts or lingering emotions, positive or negative, can indicate the presence of a cord. These can be attached to one or more chakras, organs, or some other part of the body.

Cords allow you to psychically tune in to others. This is helpful for successful communication, sales, therapy or healing work. For example, I deliberately create an energetic connection from my third eye with every client, student or audience member so I can better understand their needs and be of service. But at the same time, I create a link to the earth to be grounded, and from my crown chakra to my spiritual guidance and healing energy so I am guided in what to say and do to be of service. Because I am connected to the Source of healing energy as with Reiki work, I am replenished even as energy flows from me to them.

Such cords need to be released after a session. I do this by washing my hands with the intention of turning over the care of my clients to the heavens, or taking a shower at the end of the day with the intention of releasing anyone else’s energy or cords from me. While you sending healing energy out along the cord, you are protected. But when you are done with the session, the emotions, energy and issues of your client can back up into you especially when you are sleeping.

Cords explain how mothers can know when their offspring are in danger. I myself have been awoken at night with a nightmare that was not my own, but rather represented the fears of someone close to me. I was dreaming his dream.

Beneficial cords create a satisfying feeling of connection, mutual accord, love and joy. They are bonding. But should the relationship end, when something you valued is lost and gone, or when negative emotions enter in such as anger, grief, hurt or jealousy, the related cords can drain your life force, possibly effect your health and equilibrium, and keep you stuck. Cords to old lovers or cords that your former lovers still have attached to you can block or sabotage a new relationship. You may have broken up years ago, but if you or the other party are still angry, resentful, wanting to get revenge or get together, those cords are still attached. Detrimental cords such as those put there with a desire to possess, control or manipulate are destructive whether ritualized or not through magic must be severed.

Cords to possessions can explain hoarding. These cords may represent attachment to more than just to things, but consciously or unconsciously to the memories, people, places those things, or the feelings of security or safety they represent. You know when a cord is there because removing the thing can feel like something is being ripped out of you. Look underneath the emotion. What is it that the object/s represent to you? Is there another way you can keep the good feelings without the things?

Between romantic partners there can be multiple cords, even one attached to each chakra. This creates a close bond. But if the relationship ends, each cord will have to be cut. If one party doesn’t want to let the other go, the one wanting to leave may have to cut the cords to the former partner multiple times – as often as they feel the pull from the ex.

Bonding of any kind indicates cords. Cords between parents and children are normal and helpful. But the parents have to allow such cords to loosen and stretch so that offspring can grow and move away as adults and live their own lives. This is true with any relationship that changes over time.

Cords to your neighborhood can give you a sense of place, of being rooted, of belonging somewhere. But if you cannot stay, or if a good opportunity comes along that requires moving elsewhere, it can cause you to feel torn. That torn feeling is an indication of cords pulling you in opposite directions. Unable to sell your house? Maybe you haven’t released the cord that connects you. Maybe the house doesn’t want to let you go.

Cords can also exist to who you used to be and what you used to have that now can prevent you from being happy in the moment and enjoying or finding the good that is available to you now. This is part of grief – grief over aging or becoming disabled, retiring from a position of power or belonging, of losing your house, or having to move out of your home into a retirement community.

The problem of letting go

Years ago I heard a story of how they catch wild monkeys. Seems that monkeys like bananas. So hunters would hollow out a coconut shell, insert a banana and tie it to a long cord. When a monkey would find the banana, it would stick it’s hand into the shell, grab it’s hand around the fruit to pull it out. But with it’s fist now curled around the fruit, it was too big to pull out of the hole. That’s when the hunter would reel in the rope now with the monkey attached. While the monkey could easily have released it’s grip on the banana in order to free it’s hand from the trap, it would not let go, and so was caught.

How many of us are likewise caught because we have something and will not let go even if it kills us because we don’t know of anything better or have the hope of obtaining it instead. We are attached to what we have  and what we know, to a sense of space, to community or circle of friends, to familiar surroundings, to our routines, to our possessions, to our sense of self that may be tied up in all these things. We may not be enthusiastic about what we have, but it is what we have so we won’t let go. This is not bad because it gives us stability and support to focus our attention on other things that give us meaning and purpose until we determine what we would rather have.

The ties that bind only become a problem when they do not allow for growth, for expansion of our spirit, our soul.

Letting go is easy when you clearly see that you are getting something better.

Here, I’ll trade your nickel for my dollar bill. Want it? Easy, right?

My son and his wife recently sold between a third to a half of their possessions, many of which they had recently purchased, and a big, beautiful house they loved to move into another house one-third the size and one-third more expensive so that he could take a good job and they could live their dream life on the California coast. And they pulled it off in 1 1/2 months. They were selling, donating, giving away, throwing out a good deal of the house contents because they had a reason. And while it was physically daunting to get everything done on time, it was emotionally possible to let go, and find the energy to pull it off because they were excited about what they were moving towards. They were clear in their minds about why.

Moving forward means detaching from whatever would hold you back

I started this blog saying that moving forward can mean cleaning up loose ends, and detaching from limitations that include detrimental energetic cords to anything that would keep you stuck.

Pay attention to your energy levels and start to identify what seems to cause a change in your mood, your vitality and zest for life. Are there any detrimental cords to people, places or things? How do they effect you? What is the price you are paying for keeping them? Can any stagnant cords connected to what still has value be stretched and loosened sufficiently to allow you to move into greater expansion of your spirit and joy? How can you do that?

What do you want instead? Imagine that vividly. Where are you being pulled that seems to have a brighter energy and where even thinking about it lifts your spirit? Move toward it, and explore how you feel as you get closer and more involved. And finally, pull closer to those ties that support and nurture you even as you pursue your dreams.

Saying Goodbye

Recently I was informed of the death of two more of my high school classmates. While I have not seen most of my classmates for more than 50+ years, it saddened me. To sound hopelessly maudlin, high school was and indeed is for many people a special time of our lives, perhaps more so than college, as we moved through the last gawky caterpillar stage of adolescence to finally emerge at graduation as butterflies flying off in the infinitely different directions of our adulthood.

Some of us had been together since early childhood to elementary school, junior high and all through high school. We shared a special bond going through all those awkward years together – those years of braces or acne, of unequal growth spurts and hormonal changes. We huddled together to giggle over the cute boys or girls of the opposite sex. We felt an urgent need for acceptance and ‘fitting in’. There was the yearning for a relationship but fear of rejection, the excitement of our first date, the awkwardness of first kiss, the nervousness of waiting for the phone to ring for, hopefully, another date, another kiss and a ‘real’ boyfriend or girlfriend.

For many of us, high school provided the last bit of stability and continuity in our lives that would soon be lost. Many of us would leave shortly, some for the military, some for colleges far away. Many never returned home except for brief visits to families over holidays. While a few would start full-time employment nearby, or see each other periodically elsewhere, the tight bonds of youth were loosened to allow room for new people and new experiences. We were changing.

Looking back, the saying ‘you can’t go home again’ is very true. The composition of the town changed as our parents moved away after retirement or died. Newcomers moved in to raise their families. Even the few that stayed local during employment mostly moved away later to pursue a warmer climate or lower taxes or to be closer to children or grandchildren who had scattered to the far corners of the country.

As we were sitting in caps and gowns so many years ago out in the football field waiting to receive our diplomas, I was very aware of the bittersweet nature of the moment. We were dispersing out into the world to pursue our individual paths not knowing what was in store, not knowing when or if we would meet again, embarking upon our own ‘great adventure’.

When I now hear about one of us who has died, I wonder what kind of life they had. Were they happy with the way it turned out and how they faced whatever challenges came their way? Was it a life of which they themselves were proud? Did they marry and was it good? Did they have children and grandchildren, and were they close?

And then I ask these questions of myself. Am I living the life that at the end I can say it was a good life? Did I accomplish what I wanted? Did I leave a positive legacy? Did I touch the lives of others? Did I make a positive difference? And most of all, did my life matter to ANYONE?

To all my remaining classmates of James Caldwell High School, I have not kept in touch with any of you, but I remember you all fondly. You left an indelible mark of upon my soul. I wish you the best of everything life has to offer. Until we meet again….

My love. Roxanne

The Power of Thoughts, Emotions & Politics

Thoughts and emotions are things that can create or destroy, enhance or interfere, make things easier or harder, heal, harm or even kill. The clearer the thought, the more that thought is focused, directed, sustained, and then energized with strong emotion, the greater the impact will be upon both sender and receiver.

When thoughts are directed with love or gratitude, forgiveness and compassion, even to people you dislike or you consider your enemies, you are assisting both friend and foe to show up in the world from their higher nature.

Lynne McTaggert’s Power of Eight intention groups have shown that offering positive intention to another has a powerful blessing for the sender as well. Blessing others blesses you . It also helps your adversaries to heal and stop doing the very things that distress you. The caveat is that it needs to be done repeatedly.

Clinical Psychologist, Dr Ihaleakala Hew Len demonstrated this clearly by applying his practice of Ho’oponopono with the criminally insane at Hawaii State Hospital. Instead of responding with fear or revulsion towards his dangerous patients, he instead directed love, compassion and forgiveness towards them on a continuous basis. As a result, the inmates so improved that the ward was closed in just a few years. Dr. Len accomplished by simply holding his patient’s file while continuously repeating

“I’m sorry, Please forgive me, I love you, Thank you.”

NOTE:  you might want to address the meditation to yourself as in

“I’m sorry, ___(your own name). “Please forgive me (for putting you through this). I love you. Thank you (for being there for me).”

The words of any mantra or words in meditation have to be in alignment with your own belief system.  Dr. Len considers himself responsible for the behavior or condition of others, which is why he can use his 4 phrases. As I disagree, I have had to modify the words in accordance with my own beliefs, which are that as I am human, the seeds of every evil that humanity has done lie within me, and that under the right circumstances, I could perhaps commit the same wrong, want to do so, or my ancestors or I myself in another lifetime may have already done. Here is my version:

I’m sorry.

“I am sorry or whatever is within me, my relatives, progeny or ancestors in this or any other lifetime that attracted, allowed, caused or contributed to this ____ (illness, condition, state, feeling, tendency, behavior, situation, problem, event, experience or issue).

Please forgive me.

“Please forgive me. Please forgive all of us.”

“Divine Creator, please correct any erroneous thoughts in my consciousness and/or our shared consciousness that is responsible in any way.”

I love you.

“I acknowledge, ____(name), that the Divine created us both, and as such, we are part of the same human family. I look for and love the Creator’s spark within you.”

Thank you

“Thank you, ____(name), for bringing to my attention what needs to heal within myself.”

“Thank you, divine Creator, for bringing love, healing, harmony and balance into this for the Highest Good of all.”

“Thank you, Creator, for healing any resonance with the problem within me, and correcting any errors in my consciousness and humanity’s shared consciousness.”

Dr. Len in repeating his mantra was taking responsibility for his patient’s behavior. He considered it his creation and therefore, his responsibility do something about although it was not his fault. But what if we applied this practice or something similar to the unsavory people and events in our lives?

What if we applied this to politics?

It doesn’t matter if you are talking about the politics within families, churches and spiritual circles, subdivisions, professional or civic groups, the office, and of course, politics on a state, national and global level. Egos, desires for power and control, greed, money interests, private agendas, shadow issues, fears, insecurities, and unhealed wounds create conflicts everywhere. Responding to them constructively is not just about taking what you consider appropriate action. For long-term change, it must also include healing yourself of any resonance with the behavior or personality trait of the person you dislike, or the issue, problem or condition that upsets you.

As Physicist, Tom Campbell, has said,

Unless WE change, real, permanent change will not happen. But as we grow and evolve in consciousness, our leaders and systems will reflect that.”

Quantum Entanglement

The theory of Quantum Entanglement within the field of physics explains the effect that one particle can have on another even though separated by huge distances. However, the psychological implications are that individuals have a very real effect on one another  as well. Your thoughts and feelings not only guide your action but also effect mine. Campbell says that the thoughts, emotions, and consciousness of each individual are felt by the whole. Consciousness is made up of thoughts, beliefs, and judgments which generate emotions, mood and behavior. The consciousness of even one person effects others, who in turn effect many more. This works for good or ill.

There is only one of us here.

Some scientists are saying that we not only effect one another, but that we are the other – we are all one consciousness. The implication of this is that in hating another, I am actually hating a part of myself. The opposite is also true.

Right now, tensions within the US are ratcheting up to remove the sitting President by any means possible. As we get closer to election, I am once again concerned about the extreme level of anger and even hatred so rampant in our society before and after the last one. Unrelenting anger and hatred not only makes real, long term, positive change much, much more unlikely, but it poisons our health, our relationships, and well-being on every level. I know. I personally got ill after the last election, and I am still suffering the painful aftereffects three years later.

There has to be way to be aware without being obsessed, to listen to and possibly consider the other person’s point of view, to create positive change without destroying what is good, of informing/educating others without then transferring your hatred onto them if they do not understand or agree with you.

Consequently, I am advocating applying the Ho’Oponopono in some fashion to your daily or weekly routine. Look for and address any old wounds that are being triggered by current events. Forgive yourself and recognize your common humanity with others (all of them).

Clearing Non-Beneficial Energy Patterns in Your Timeline

Clearing an event of upset by itself does not heal an issue, stop a negative repeating pattern, or solve a problem. Nor does it really eliminate the type of upset you are experiencing. While you may feel better about a current situation, you can still hold the same underlying beliefs and feelings such as that of abandonment, betrayal, not being good enough, etc. Consequently, these unhealed feelings, and the beliefs or judgments underlying them will set up future problems. To really heal, your consciousness across all points in time has to heal.

In non-local reality the past, present and future exist simultaneously. Energetic patterns affecting us in this life can have their origin in any one of these realities. Recent scientific studies with both humans and rodents have shown that issues such as specific fears can be carried on the DNA. But we also know that issues of our family members can be picked up in the womb or assimilated after birth from both family and society. The origins of societal beliefs even without considering the possibility that we may have had past lives can go back to the earliest days of mankind.

In the hypnosis world, we call the origin of a problem the root cause. Dowsing colleague, Marty Lucas, calls it the inception point, the point of disruption from wholeness. I like this term as it takes in the broader spiritual dimension spanning centuries.

To be complete in any healing work you must change the consciousness responsible for the problem you wish to heal, going back and forward throughout all of time to change the underlying beliefs or judgments whether they started with you or your ancestors. Then the consciousness responsible for all similar subsequent events up to the present moment have to be corrected. Because your consciousness is and has been in setting up future problems of a similar nature, those non-beneficial patterns have to be also healed in your future. And because you bear karmic responsibility for your progeny, clear them as well in all of your lifetimes past, current and future.

On Grief and Suffering

32348Years ago I saw the movie Shadowlands – the story of Oxford professor, C. S. Lewis (most known for his children’s book, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe), and his American Jewish wife, Helen Joy Davidman.

At the point where Lewis has to face that Helen is dying, he realizes how much he loves her. But her illness makes him question his devout Christian faith. How can God allow such suffering? How could God bring him love so late in life only to snatch it away?

If you shut your heart to pain, you shut it to love as well.

Helen responds that you cannot shut down your heart to avoid feeling pain or you will shut down your heart to feeling love as well. She says that the pain that you know will be experienced later IS part of the happiness now. It makes each moment more poignant. You have to be willing to experience it all. You have to keep your heart open.

Helen’s attitude is a recognition that everything is transitory – both our lives and our time together with loved ones. It is a way it is seizing the moment to appreciate everything now especially because we know such moments are finite. And when such time is over if they die before us, we can be comforted in that we had those moments together, that we experienced their love and our friendship and happiness together.

“Carpe diem”: Seize the day

Perhaps in the case of an on-going or painful, terminal illness, knowing that their suffering was ended can also be a comfort.

And then there is the grief of witnessing the suffering of others that we do not know. How could a loving God allow such evil? Why do bad things happen to good people?

Why does suffering exist?

I don’t believe there is an answer to this age-old question although there are theories. In a specific individual case we may have a hunch as to why. Certainly the consciousness of the individual has a lot to do with the personal internalization or how they experience the suffering whether or not it changes the outward situation.

Some think that there is karma – that bad things happen to pay someone back for the bad things they have done in the past. Then guilt plays a part. Guilt always looks for punishment.

But some of my hypnosis colleagues have found that suffering can be part of a soul contract. In other words, that a soul has voluntarily taken on a specific challenge in order to learn something – maybe humility, patience, or compassion for others with similar challenges. There are many people who have credited their childhood poverty, abuse, or trauma as the motivating force to work hard to change things and do something with their life. Some were even be the ones responsible for pulling the family group as a whole out of their dire situation. If learning is the reason for the suffering, speed up the learning process and then ask the universe to be released from the condition.

Maybe the soul has chosen it’s challenges as a way to grow personally. Or maybe the soul has willingly taken on a challenge to help others to grow, to teach them something, or at least, to give them the opportunity to do so. Maybe their suffering is to inspire others to take action and remove or heal the cause of the problem so that others benefit, or to come up with a solution, an invention, a therapy, or legislation to address that problem that brings much needed change or improvement. Maybe it is to teach compassion and give others an opportunity to minister to their needs.

I remember years ago listening to one of the most arrogant, elitist, wealthy man talking about the problems of being a parent to a severely disabled young child. And when I heard it, I thought that his son might be a heaven sent gift to soften and open this father’s heart to love, and teach him compassion for others. Right or not, that was a blessing  that could potentially arise from the situation.

What can you do when you are grieving or suffering in some way?

Deliberately find a way to notice what is still good. Savor the love and friendship that is available. Open your heart to those who come or call. Reconnect. Pull your loved ones and pets close to you. If you don’t have a pet but love animals, get one or volunteer at an animal shelter. As you open your heart to give love in any area possible, you will receive it back abundantly.

Connect with nature and appreciate the natural rhythms and cycles of life. Death is part of that cycle. After every winter comes spring, then summer, fall and winter again. But then spring returns yet another time. Think of the the spring flowers, the young ones, the baby birds and animals just being born. Take time to be with them, to notice and appreciate whatever is around you. Go feed the ducks, hatch some chicks, hug a tree. And I don’t mean to be trite in the face of real suffering, but just focus on being, really being present with any evidence of LIFE in any of its forms, including what may seem to be inanimate like rocks and streams– all of these bring healing.

Look for beauty. Look for any evidence of goodness and joy. Look for evidence of things that have been around much longer than a human’s lifespan, and for evidence of things that die and are reborn.

When my son was born, my neighbor’s daughter just died. So as soon as I was out of the hospital, I went over to her and let her hold my baby. I wanted her to still know that life goes on, and that this new life can be a great comfort. Holding the soft bundle of a newborn melts the heart, and in the melting comes the healing.

Any person for whom you grieve lives on through you not just in your memory, but also in how they touched or changed your life. The love you had for them lives on, and I believe that their love for you does as well. I have personally experienced my whole being filled with love multiple times as my deceased father’s made his presence known. Same thing happened for months with a very special cat. I have had visits from deceased clients, students, colleagues. So I am convinced that the soul lives on independently of my memory of them.

And something of you will live on through friends and family – your legacy to the world of how you made a difference perhaps just in being in the right place at the right time to give encouragement, a helpful perspective, a simple act of kindness. Cherish the good memories. Put up any photos that bring a smile to your face and make you laugh. And if you have them, hug their pillow, their clothes with their smell still on them.

Then connect to the spiritual dimension, the greater cosmos beyond the solar system, the galaxy to an even bigger beyond in all it’s majesty. Go out and watch the sun rise and set. Look up at the stars and visit any awe inspiring vistas where you can gain a higher perspective beyond your day to day life.

And go every day to that place within your soul that is still okay and loves you very much. Remember, know and allow yourself to feel that

you are loved.

Thinking about Prosperity

More than Money

“Prosperity is more than just money and things. It is first of all a feeling of wealth insidean awareness of the vast abundance that is everywhere in nature, in your life and within yourself that you can draw upon. And this recognition provides some measure of confidence in being able to meet whatever challenges that come your way.

Prosperity includes love, friendships, networks and personal connections, as well as your own personal qualities that engender trust, respect, cooperation and help from others. While it includes your talents, skills, work experience , it also includes your unpaid life experience, the way you think and approach a challenge. It includes your creativity, your belief in yourself and your ability to learn new things and solve problems. And finally, it includes your health, sense of humor, joy, fun, appreciation and gratitude. All these things together generate a sense of fullness, satisfaction, security within yourself, and, therefore, a measure of peace of mind.

The recognition  that you do have something to work with relieves stress, which is vital to being able to connecting to your inner guidance from which to generate ideas of what to do and where to start. Then the attitude of gratitude provides the energy conducive to good fortune as does love and enthusiasm for your work.

Creating prosperity is MORE than what specific actions you take or don’t take – vital as that piece is.

It requires a consciousness that is open to wealth in all its forms.

This means becoming aware of and then healing any discomfort, negative beliefs, judgments or fears about money, wealth or yourself so that there is a willingness to receive, hold, invest and expand upon what you have. It requires feeling worthy. It requires a compelling vision of a better future that motivates you into needed and sustainable action, and a belief that you can learn whatever is necessary and overcome any problems to bring it forth. And it includes a willingness to share or give something in return so that there is a flow instead of a blockage of energy.

Some people are good at part but not all parts of the equation.

They may generate money, but then squander it and lose it as quickly perhaps out of fear, guilt or unworthiness. Others are very frugal and careful in spending, but seem almost allergic to receiving, asking for a fair return for their services or seeking out better income-making opportunities. Perhaps there was trauma around money, or past life vows of poverty, or a belief that wealthy people are evil, or a belief that it is dangerous to have money, that someone will try to take it away from you, or that having more than your friends and loved ones would cost you their love and acceptance.

Some people are so fixated on their problems that they don’t see possibilities, they don’t see that it just might be a growth opportunity. The energy they need to solve their current problems is drained from any number of emotions, some of which have been held for things that happened (or didn’t) many years prior— grief, blame, shame, anger, guilt remorse, hopelessness, or feeling like a victim. Not seeing hope, they are not proactive in seeking whatever help they need or in taking effective action.

Dowsing can assist to find and resolve the root cause of prosperity issues.

This may be in the areas of generating, retaining, investing or increasing money, giving and sharing wisely. It can be in healing trauma, negative beliefs, judgments, fears and other energetic blocks. Dowsing can also assist to set up a strategy for action and overcoming challenges.

On the American Society of Dowsers Dowsing Support Teleconference scheduled for Tuesday, June 11, Dick Tippett and Gale West are going to address various aspects of creating prosperity and how dowsing can assist us to both generate prosperity and use our resources wisely.

In particular, Gale will talk about her connection with money as a consciousness and share how we hold money affects not only ourselves, but the energy field around us. She believes that healing our relationship with money is one of the most powerful things we can do to affect change in the world. She will give practical tools to identify energetic alignment and misalignment with money.

Dick Tippett will (as time allows) talk about clearing non-beneficial energies, emotions, thought forms, story lines, attitudes, beliefs, judgments and other prosperity blockers that include money allergy, cords, promises and vows, past lives, generation frequencies or genetic memory, and beliefs absorbed from others.

The live call is moderated by Roxanne Louise and is open to everyone to listen. There is time for Q & A at the end. It is recorded and available on the Members Only page at dowsers.org usually on the following day.

Unconscious Healing Modalities

“Ask the Professional” – an interview of Roxanne Louise by the International Association of Counselors and Therapists, April 2019.

I am the April featured hypnotherapist in the e zine published by IACT  on the topic of Unconscious Healing Modalities. Basically an unconscious healing modality is a therapeutic intervention that resolves an issue and solves a problem below the level of conscious awareness. You give clear instructions to your unconscious mind as to what you want it to do, get an acknowledgement that your unconscious can do it and is willing to do it right then and there. Then you sit back and then let your unconscious make the perfectly tailored and appropriate corrections and let you know when it is done.

Major shifts can occur. For example, a person can let go any need or purpose to do _X_ anymore. Or release a negative repeating pattern, secondary gain, and all kinds of emotional stuck points. It can resolve whatever set up an illness or health condition or blocks them from healing. As a result, problems, negative patterns and issues that have defied resolution can drop away.

fullsizeoutput_2cThe Infinite Intelligence Process that I teach is a simple way of working with the unconscious to resolve problems and relieve stress with or without professional assistance. It can be brought into a formal hypnosis session. But it can also be done easily and adaptably by the client himself as self-hypnosis, meditation, or even just with eyes open and awake as a command. The full procedure is explained in my book Accessing More

Unconscious Healing Modalities with Roxanne Louise

IACT: Hello Roxanne. Thank you for giving us this opportunity to learn more about unconscious healing modalities. But first, we’d like to learn more about your experience and background and how you came to find your passion for this work.

RL: My interest in unconscious healing modalities started with hypnosis training with E. Arthur Winkler and A.L. Ward starting in 1990 or 1991. I had already had hypnosis training in straight suggestion work, age regression, past life regression starting in 1989. Then I learned NLP including Time Line Therapy, an NLP technique from Tad James. Much later I studied with James Ramey, a protégé of Walter Sichort, whose problem solving method beyond the induction itself was very similar to A.L. Ward.

I grabbed onto unconscious healing modalities because I had issues with other techniques.

1. For example, straight suggestion work is predicated on the hypnotist knowing or having a very good idea of what the problem is and how to resolve it. But the hypnotist and the client himself frequently don’t. And while the hypnotist may include a lot of indirect suggestion ala Milton Erickson, which like, I don’t think it is as good as this other method.

2. Age regression and past life regression seem to work best with people with good visual skills, but not all clients have them, and not all hypnotists are skillful in eliciting other sensations quickly enough through the Affect Bridge, a method in which George Bien excels, so that these non-visual clients don’t get frustrated.

Material obtained in regression work, particularly past life regression, is prone to contaminants — other time frames, books, stories, movies, and imagination. The Morey Bernstein’s 1956 book, The Search for Bridey Murphy, is a perfect example.

1. In regression work, the unconscious mind may censor recovery of memories that it deems too threatening to be revealed. This is not a problem with unconscious healing.

2. Unconscious healing is much more thorough in getting not just one relevant factor, but all factors involved in the targeted issue.

I have also had some problems with a few clients getting too stuck in the story line obtained through regression, and this caused more problems than it solved.

For example, one client relived being a young nobleman who talked everyone in going to war which later resulted in his best friend being killed. Now in this life, the client had tremendous guilt and even less ability to sever a destructive relationship (the reason she had sought my help) than she had before. While more work might have resolved this, she was unwilling to do so.

Another client was hung up on the important role she played in a past life, instead of creating purpose for herself in this lifetime.

IACT: What are your ‘go to’ unconscious healing mdalities?

RL: I do a blending of what I have learned from others already mentioned, and add in my own composite mo- dality which I call The Infinite Intelligence Process. I’ll address the latter separately, and will be presenting a workshop on this at the HypnoExpo on Saturday, May 18 at 4 PM.

What I do with every client both during and immediately after the induction is to clearly establish in their mind that they already have an ‘unconscious competence’ that allows them to resolve their issue “in a way in which they are really pleased” (Winkler). I give them irrefutable examples of this – i.e., being able to digest food without consciously knowing how, healing from cuts and bruises, growing hair and fingernails, etc. And then I say that this unconscious competence is now “clarifying what needs to be clarified, resolving what needs to be resolved, releasing what needs to be released, etc in a way in which they are really pleased” (Winkler). I may repeat this type of patter periodically as I am working with them.

I need a way to track their internal processing. So I usually establish ideomotor response as does Ward, Ramey, Sichort. But many times after making a psychic link with the client (which I always do with every client from the moment I start the session, and I can speak more of this later if you want) I track their progress in hypnosis with me holding a pendulum to know how to pace myself.

Winkler did ‘Arm Rising or Falling’ Techniques. In Arm Falling, you create arm catalepsy and place the arm straight up above their head with the suggestion that “the arm will come down only as quickly as your unconscious mind has found a satisfactory solution that you came here to solve today.” Winkler also did it the opposite way in Arm Rising by suggesting that the arm “is moving up, up, up to the face but will not touch the face until it has found a satisfactory solution”. Then you suggest that the unconscious is immediately putting that solution into the works.

Although I always teach Winkler’s methods, I don’t do them myself as often unless I think the client is tired and may fall asleep. However, one great benefit is that it allows me to see if the client is stuck if the arm doesn’t move, or moves only part way and then stops. Then I can add in other suggestions to assist the client to right then or after the session to get past the blockage. The Arm Falling Technique has an added advantage of a ‘when…, then…”. This is CYA (cover your a..) in that you have said that “when the arm falls back into their lap, then…”.

In a private hypnosis session, Ward would ask for an ideomotor response for each of the following:

  • that the unconscious knows about the issue the client wants to solve [Ward does not specify what that issue is as the unconscious mind might have it’s own agenda for the day],
  • is willing to solve it,
  • is able to find the first event having anything to do with the problem,
  • is able to identify the emotion or judgment related to that event,
and then it is to go back in time to the first time that they had that same emotion or judgment and “switch to a healthier, more constructive choice, and indicate with a ‘yes’ ideomotor response when they have done that.”
  • He then has them go to the next time and next time right up to now, and signal when they made the switch.
  • When there are no more to change, they are to raise their ‘no’ finger.

I first help to set Ward’s technique up by explaining how two people can have the same experience and one is upset and the other is not. Why is that? I answer that it is because of their interpretation of what has happened, their judgment about it. And I later tell them to “change what you say to yourself and be free”.

While I do Time Line Therapy more in group sessions as opposed to private, what I have adapted from it that I use on myself and with every client is to instruct them to “find the positive learning” that then allows the upset or the issue to fall away. I strongly feel that it is a mistake to try to clear ‘negative’ emotions or upsets without learning from the experience, or otherwise that history will repeat itself.

Some visualizations can work for unconscious healing in a group session. For example, in Chapter 6, Visualizations of my book Your Unlimited Potential, I have adapted A.L. Ward’s technique as ‘Change Decisions’. The adaptation of E. Arthur Winkler’s Arm Rising is called “Hand to Face” . I have my own original “File Cabinet”. “Lining Up the Jennies” was inspired by Larry Tillman’s Conceptual Therapy Technique, “Line of Time” is adapted from Time Line Therapy, and “Library” although original to me is almost identical to that by Albert J. Marotta.

IACT: What else can you tell us about the use of unconscious healing modalities?

RL: An unconscious healing modality is especially called for when while you have a problem or issue that you want solved, but you do not know the best solution or best means of getting there. Therefore, you leave it up to the unconscious wisdom within to tailor make the perfect solution for you.

I believe this internal wisdom is hooked up to the spiritual dimension, or what Physicist Tom Campbell calls the Greater Consciousness System in which all consciousness is linked.

An unconscious healing modality can also be adapted as an affirmation.
For example, you can say “There is a part of me that knows ____ [how to reach the goal, or solve the problem] and that part is now ____ (clarifying, healing, resolving, transmuting, clearing) ____ in a way in which I’m really pleased.”

This is

  • setting your intention of what you want to happen,
  • affirming that you have the inner resources, wisdom, and internal guidance system that can set to work for you in the background to smooth your way to manifest that intention
  • turning it over in total trust that the Universe is working for you.

This is the first part of the Infinite Intelligence Processthat I call “Connect”. While the above wording is powerful in hypnosis, self-hypnosis, or meditation, it works even with eyes open while you are doing simple chores. It is fully described in my book, Accessing More, and will be elaborated upon in my workshop at HypnoExpo as already mentioned. A benefit of this is that the client can use it anytime, anyplace to help himself.

You can create a hypnosis program with trigger words to run the unconscious healing program.

In the Infinite Intelligence Process, I have created a program that I call “Process” that is especially designed to quickly review, keep or delete the overwhelming data to which we are all subjected to daily, and to also review everything to do with any issue or problem in order to resolve it. It is superb for stress management and getting to the multitude of factors involved in any sticky situation. Once installed, the client can the program on their own anytime that is appropriate.

Benefits of the Infinite Intelligence Process

As a result of daily using the Infinite Intelligence Process, I sleep better, have much less stress, and get over any stress faster. It is something I can do myself without the dependence upon anyone else.

My agenda is to empower my clients so that they are equipped with tools to help themselves anytime, anyplace on their own. By testing everything on myself, I have immediate feedback on what works, what doesn’t, and what needs tweaking.

IACT: This has been a wonderfully enlightening interview. Once again, thank you for your time and insight. We look forward to learning more over conference week in Daytona Beach.

RL: Thank you for inviting me to do this.
