On Being Thorough in Therapy

Tracing & Addressing the Origin of Problems

I have been working on trying to understand what underlies human behavior and mental and emotional issues since childhood. At 4 years old, I was overheard telling a playmate “you’re master of yourself”. And while self-mastery is possible as we know of saints and gurus that appear to have achieved it, the 24/7 responsibility to monitor and correct your thoughts, beliefs and judgments, and then healing the emotions that stem from those thoughts — is a major, lifelong task that all too often seems like putting one foot forward but moving two feet back.

In elementary school I started giving advice based on Dale Carnegie’s book, “How to Win Friends and Influence People” to my friends who didn’t know how to deal with fellow classmates. It’s a good book. Yet, despite reading a library of helpful self-help books and learning a multiple of therapeutic techniques from multiple modalities over decades.

Deep, personal healing goes beyond the lens of known problems and difficult relationships.

It necessitates tracing the origins of issues and relationships back through previous lifetimes, through family and ancestral lineage, addressing the universal flaws existing within all of humanity such as the 7 deadly sins of pride, greed, wrath, envy, lust, gluttony and sloth. And it involves healing the pain of what was perceived as missing especially in childhood of love, understanding, acceptance and forgiveness.

The known problems are CLUES to the real cause lying beneath negative repeating patterns.

DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE

Initially, when I had a problem, I focused on the current incident or the person with whom I had the problem.  But then when more problems with that person occurred, I had to focus on the relationship as a whole. And when that didn’t stop the problem, I had to consider that the problems with that person might stem with the soul of that person that could go back through earlier and perhaps many lifetimes.

Later when I thought I had resolved the current situation, I noticed that same type of problem happened again, but now with someone else. So, I moved on to clearing the issue around all similar events about which I could remember, and that could involve even more people. Clearing the origin of the issue could involve clearing multiple lifetimes and multiple people and clump together with related issues. Yet, no matter how time consuming to address, once the same sort of problem happens three times, it means a pattern has been established that will only continue to reoccur until it is resolved.

We all know that future generations can be sensitized to specific fears such as that of discrimination or violence by hearing horrid stories of one’s ancestors. But recent research with children of holocaust survivors found that these children were more fearful than Jews from families that had not been in the concentration camps. The study hypothesized that these excessive fears were passed down on the DNA. This correlates with experiments on mice – the specific fears of the parents were transferred down to offspring. Perhaps this is a survival mechanism. But what this means in therapy is that is the need to address the issues experienced by our ancestors as well. Dr. Bradley Nelson has proven in his book, The  Emotion Code, that doing so can have tremendous therapeutic effect.

Further indications of problems passing down the family line is that of a role played in the family such as that of the invalid or the black sheep or the crazy one, or what has been called ‘the family curse’.

Lately, I am following the theory that the source of the problem does not just originate within the self with its own beliefs and judgements and unresolved traumas from this and other lifetimes, nor that of our personal ancestors, but can originate even further back within what we call the “collective unconscious” – in other words, within the shared consciousness of all of humanity, and perhaps other species as well, throughout all of time.

As Dr. Hew Len who popularized Ho’Oponopono said,

“we cannot know the origin of the problem.” Hence, it is helpful to make space for the healing to go wherever it is needed without you knowing where it began.

Dr. Len’s method was to continually pray to heal his own thoughts or consciousness underlying the problem whether he knew what those thoughts might be: “I’m sorry. Please forgive me. I love you. Thank you.” My own wording for this is:

“I’m sorry for whatever is within me, my relatives or ancestors in this or another lifetime that attracted, allowed, caused, contributed to or resonated in any way with this ____ (problem/situation ___of/with ___).

Please forgive me. Please forgive all of us.

I love you ____ [my name  or Creator’s].

Thank you for bringing to my attention what needs to heal within myself. Thank you for bringing healing into this ____ (problem/situation) for the highest good of all concerned. Thank you for correcting any distortion in my consciousness or in our shared consciousness.”

In the collective unconscious are the origins of every wonderful attribute of humanity seen also in the animal kingdom – love, empathy, kindness, protection of the young, joy, etc.. But here too lay the inclination to do harm as well as the wounds from that harm experienced by our ancestors from covetousness and greed, theft, betrayal, control and domination, manipulation, deceit and cunning, disruption and chaos, lies and broken promises, violence, rage and hate, mental, emotional and physical abuse, lust and rape — all traumas replayed over and over again from perhaps the very beginning of mankind. In dealing with the ancient roots of the problem,

I have come to the conclusion that deep healing ultimately requires appealing to something bigger than ourselves– the Divine, the Source of All That Is, the great I AM — in short, prayer is needed with repeated group prayer being the most effective.

“Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of you.”

To resolve what underlay a particular problem, I had to go back to the beginning (wherever that was). Hypnotic regression and past life regression are helpful, but it requires the assistance of another person – something not always possible, practical or affordable. There had to be another way.

In addition to everything else, I work with a large number of unconscious healing modalities of which there are many techniques – my own Infinite Intelligence Process, my way of using pendulum dowsing with specially designed charts, meditation and self-hypnosis, the Emotional Freedom Technique, Emotion Code, Conceptual Therapy, Tapas Accupressure, Neural Linguistic Programming, several hypnotic visualizations, and hypnotic techniques as by A.L. Ward, E. Art Winkler, Ho’Oponopono, and I continue to add more. Dowser Joachim Wippich’s work also deals with correcting unconscious thoughts and may be worth exploring.

My basic intention is to turn all problems into a blessing –

  • a blessing to me for the wisdom and fortitude to be gained in resolving them,
  • a blessing to others in that I can now help them with what I learned from a problem similar to theirs,
  • and a blessing to prevent others from suffering by learning from my experience.

And so, you can also turn your problems into blessings. Compost them and harvest wisdom and strength.

When I have gotten depressed or upset or frustrated with a problem that was defying resolution, I have remembered the words of Judith Baldwin, wife of Dr. William Baldwin, founder of Spirit Releasement Therapy:

“And It Came to Pass……Away!”

While problems can be caused by ignorance (as in “what can go wrong?), not paying attention, ignoring the signals or your gut level instincts, inexperience, lack of knowledge or training, not considering the ramifications of each potential choice, over estimating your own abilities as in “fools go where angels fear to tread,” trial and error, or curiosity as in “I wonder what can happen if….”, I believe that problems are meant to be temporary. We can create them out of our recklessness or stupidity. But when they are assigned by the universe as in homework, I believe that are intended as a means to heal long, unaddressed wounds, to grow in mental, emotional and spiritual strength and to test that strength. They are the means by which we gain both in valuable experience and wisdom and heal on a deeper level. I am also reminded of a saying:

“Man meant it for evil, but God meant it for good!”

Distant Energy Healing

Healing has both physical and non-physical components.

The physical are obviously things like drugs, diet, supplements, surgery and other medical interventions, physical therapy, acupressure, massage, exercise, etc.

The non-physical include mental, emotional and spiritual healing, healing of relationships, stress management techniques such as self hypnosis, the Emotional Freedom Technique, Tapas Accupressure Technique, prayer, meditation, emotional support and love, energy healing modalities such as Reiki, , and other modalities such as hypnosis and dowsing. All of these can be considered forms of energy healing.

Both the physical and non-physical (or energetic) are important. Sometimes the non-physical makes the critical difference by freeing up stuck energy or blocks to healing, as well as adding more energy and improving the flow.

There are so many stories of miraculous healing — cases where the person was written off by the best medical treatment, and then through an intense prayer chain, recovered. Or you may have heard where forgiveness has also led to healing of disease. I like the story of Anita Moorjani, author of Dying to Be Me, who was declared dead of cancer, but through her near death experience was able to heal a lifelong issue that not only brought her back to life, but caused rapid elimination of her cancer.

Miracle healings should not be dismissed. Where an exception to the rule appears, it points to another rule that we should analyze and find out how to replicate.

Many prominent doctors and scientists say that all illness has a stress component, and without addressing that, healing will be partial, slower and more likely to reoccur. For example, a heart patient without learning how to address his emotions is setting himself up for another heart attack. Mental and emotional stress depresses the immune system. The body’s energy that should go into the healing process can be siphoned off to fight the tigers in our lives. This makes healing slower, harder or even impossible. It can cause a person to give up. And when a person loses their reason and desire to live, the body soon follows.

If some mental, emotional or spiritual issue is the root cause of a health condition and so weakened the body’s system that it was set it up for disease, then such issue or issues must be addressed or it will only reoccur.

Energy healing can be applied both by the person for himself, but also sent at a distance by someone else to him (distant healing).

Here’s how you can send distant healing to yourself or someone else:

  1. WRITE CLEAR INTENTION: down identifying information about the person, issue, and the positive intention. This should include the person’s name, maybe their address, or possibly their photo. You can also draw some visual representation of it. [NOTE: the positive intention is the OPPOSITE of the problem. If the complete opposite is outside of your belief system, then make the positive intention a MOVING TOWARDS the opposite, which is the ideal outcome. In other words, choose END RESULT or PROCESS.]
  2. SAFETY CLAUSE: Add some phrase to further signify a good outcome that does not go against the will of the recipient. Such phrase could be “in accordance with ____’s [name of person] highest good”, or “in a way in which ____ [name] is really pleased.” In Reiki, we say when sending energy, “you are free to accept or reject or use as you see fit.”
  3. PREPARE to send energy by GROUNDING (anchoring) your energy in the earth, then CENTERING (letting go of extraneous thoughts and focusing on your intention), CONNECTING to the Source of healing energy.
  4. BUILD ENERGY perhaps by deep breathing, clearing & expanding your energy field.
  5. FOCUS YOUR INTENT & SEND by directing image out your 3rd eye, love out your heart chakra, and healing energy out your hands towards their name or photo.
  6. DISCONNECT from the recipient’s energy field. Connect healing energy to yourself & imagine yourself healthy and well in every respect.
  7. GIVE THANKS THAT IT IS DONE

Instructions to Dowsers

If you are dowsing, you should check if each step is done before proceeding to the next step.

Neutralizing the Detrimental Effect of Mass Consciousness

You can listen to the audio of this here.

What is Mass Consciousness?

Any widely held thoughts, beliefs or emotions that are pervasive in a group can be called “Mass Consciousness”. In a country beset by war, starvation, severe economic depression there is going to be a mass consciousness of fear, perhaps also grief and anger, hopelessness and despair.

Mass consciousness is not always negative. It can be happy and joyous as well as during the victory of a national sports team, or election of a leader that is expected to bring hope, or winning the war, or the wedding of Prince Charles and Diana.

But when it is negative, it impacts upon our health, sleep, our ability to digest our food, to think clearly, make good decisions, and drains us of the energy to take wise, effective action. Hence, the need to clear it away when we can feel it getting to us.
While I have written this for dowsers, it can also be utilized by anyone having the ability to focus their mind, and intend with strength and energy that what is being said IS being done. To that end, it is important in any healing work to build your energy field first.

1. Affirm and step into your personal power

Stand up and raise your arms in front of you as you breathe in and think or say “I AM”. Then lower your arms out to the sides as you think or say “That I AM”. Repeat several times adding a visualization of a golden ball of light inside your heart area expanding throughout your entire body, and pushing a bubble of light out from your body as you exhale.

2. Gather your strength

Imagine those both in physical form and those in the spiritual realms that love and believe in you supporting and protecting you on your life’s journey.

3. Ground your energy

Imagine growing roots and pull that energy up through your feet, up your spine and out your head, and then loop it back down to the earth picking up any stress or toxins on the downward cycle and removing it out your feet.Make several cycles until you feel your legs tingling with energy.

4. Center

As you pull energy up the spine, allow your mind to come into a narrow line, letting go of extraneous thoughts so that you can focus on your intention.

5. Connect to Source

Imagine a brilliant golden sun above your head that represents to you the source of divine healing energy and power joined with divine wisdom and love. Pull beneficial energy from this golden sun down through your head and your entire body. Invite the frequency of the higher harmonic of gold such as the halo seen around holy figures. This higher harmonic of gold thought to be connected not just with prosperity and manifestation, but most of all with wisdom. And that is what is needed in solving big problems – to manifest healing through the highest frequency with divine wisdom. Cycle it through you several times. Fill your body with this golden light and the energy of love.

6. Increase your aura and set up a strong, force field

Expand your aura a minimum of 3 feet in all directions, and then perhaps in increments out as far out as you can go, maybe 10-20 feet or more. Dowse this distance for yourself. At the perimeter, install a protective shell, shield or force field that prevents detrimental energy from entering.

For dowsers, assess: On a scale of 0-100% calibrate your overall strength of your energy field.

Monitor Your State & Make Corrections on an as needed basis

Assess: dowse out on a scale of 0-100% the overall detrimental effect upon you of the mass consciousness of ____.

fear,
depression,
grief,
apathy,
hopelessness, etc.

Neutralizing Detrimental Mass Consciousness

If you are dowsing, start spinning the pendulum counterclockwise:

“Neutralize all blocks to clearing the detrimental effect upon me & others of the mass consciousness of ___ that has come from any source – internet, news media, social media, conversations, or psychic airways.

Neutralize the detrimental effect upon me of the mass consciousness of _____ [emotion].

Neutralize the negative effect of mass consciousness upon me from any & all sources regarding anything.

Neutralize the detrimental effect of mass hysteria about the ____ (Corona Virus, lockdowns, etc).

Delete all excessive, unwarranted fear & panic from my consciousness.

Delete all falsehoods or lies in my consciousness that are causing or contributing to any unjustified fear or panic.

Delete all victim mentality. Delete all feelings of doom.

Delete all feelings of helplessness to protect myself or my loved ones, & whatever I hold dear.

Delete any beliefs or expectations of getting this virus or any other disease. Delete any illness programs.

For both myself and all others that desire it on a soul level neutralize the mass consciousness of unwarranted fear & panic present within ___ miles of each person’s physical location.

For both myself & others that desire it neutralize the mass consciousness of doom, hopelessness, & victim mentality present within __ miles of each person’s location. (5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 miles & beyond).

Neutralize the mass consciousness of anything draining the energy or lowering the immune system of myself & others in accordance with their highest good & soul’s desire. That is lowering the ability to think clearly and rationally. To make wise decisions. To discern what is true or false. Do this over ___ (5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 miles & beyond).”

When the pendulum stops spinning, start inputting positive opposites of the above while spinning clockwise.

“Fill those cleared areas now with ____ (enhanced discernment and the ability to perceive truth from falsehood, clear awareness of the true situation, perspective of the true picture, increased connection to my true spiritual guidance, awareness of and gratitude for all the blessings in my life, love, joy, etc.”

Wait for the spinning to stop. Ask “Is that done?”

Go back and assess the percentage of detrimental energy still in your energy field now.

Speaking at HypnoBiz Virtual Conference

Coming up June 1-5, 2020

beartoons-angerYet another conference is going virtual, but thrilled that it is still happening. HypnoBiz New York Conference this year is joining with other groups to be a huge collection of 64 presenters. For information, click here.

I will be speaking on Releasing Anger Without Killing Anyone!, the title of my book. Chock full of helpful strategies to deal constructively with your emotions once you get upset, but also how to look at things in such a way that you are informed without being drawn into an unnecessary stew.

While there is such a thing as righteous anger, and while needed reforms and positive action can taken precisely because you got angry, nonetheless, it takes a toll. Both the presentation and the book can provide vital information on how to make it work for you, and how to

turn it into a blessing!

The Infinite Intelligence Process

fullsizeoutput_1d5

For the past several years, I have been teaching others how to tap into the wisdom within both to solve problems with ease and grace, and to relieve stress in minutes with a modality that I developed and call The Infinite Intelligence Process. It can be used anytime, anyplace by ordinary persons to help themselves as well as by hypnotherapists and mental health professionals with sometimes profound results. Yet it is easy to both learn and apply through one of my short workshops or even right out of my book, Accessing More–Tapping Into the Wisdom Within with the Infinite Intelligence Process

What is this inner wisdom and how can you access it?

    • Have you ever had the experience of tapping into something More–more than you are aware of knowing or being able to do consciously?
    • And has this More allowed you the ability to accomplish the difficult with ease and grace?
    • Did it allow you to succeed even though success was considered unlikely or even impossible?
    • Was it there just when you needed it?
    • And did it solve a problem in the most perfect way?

fullsizeoutput_1d6Certainly, I have on multiple occasions, and I have heard the stories of others as well. Whether it is suddenly being able to solve problems that had previously defied solution, having creative breakthroughs, superhuman strength to save the life of another, or responding protocol perfect to a never before encountered emergency, people have amazed themselves and others when they have spontaneously accessed this greater wisdom, intelligence, strength, ability or knowledge. Sometimes it has come as a result of a necessity or out of nowhere during an emergency, and sometimes it has come in quiet moments after working on it for a prolonged period of time through normal conscious means and then letting their mind relax.

For example, I was awakened one morning with noise coming from my master bathroom. I found my five cats surrounding a copperhead snake that had gotten up into the ventilation system from the crawl space and pushed up the floor grate to get into the room. The snake was coiled up ready to attack, and kept rotating its head to watch each of the cats. What could I do? I had to protect my cats, prevent the snake from getting back down the floor grate and having access from the ventilation system to other parts of the house. I had to be sure to get it, dead or alive, completely out of the house without myself or my animals getting hurt. The way I responded turned out to be protocol perfect even though I had never been trained. How did I just naturally do everything right?

Another time, I found myself caught in a rip tide and rapidly pulled out to sea. I tried swimming to shore, but it didn’t work and I quickly got exhausted. I tried yelling and waving my arms for help, but those on shore didn’t notice and couldn’t hear me over the surf. I was getting wiped out with the waves and getting water in my mouth. Again, it seemed that I tapped into that something More to stay calm and focused on what I could do to stay alive.

Like a cat with nine lives, I have had many experiences starting from childhood that could have been dangerous, even fatal. I have also had many overwhelming responsibilities or pressures through which I sailed calmly. I have accomplished some amazing things with ease. You probably have done or know others who have done the same. Just google feats of superhuman strength and you will find many real life examples.

While necessity does motivate us to look deeper for ideas and strength, it certainly does not guarantee being able to do so as so many people blank or numb out, freeze or just panic. The questions for all of us are:

• How do we tap into that greater knowing, wisdom, ability or resources without it having to be an emergency, life or death situation?

• How can we tune into whatever it is that allows us to handle life with greater ease and grace on a regular basis?

• How can we routinely tune in and save ourselves a lot of time and energy, worry and frustration, fear and anger on or about upsetting events as well as ordinary everyday things–our job, relationships, daily life and responsibilities?

Some people may automatically jump to religious causation for all beneficial outcomes, and I do not dispute that miracles may occur. But it is my personal opinion that believing that all help comes from outside of us can actually limit the natural flow and development of what may inherently be an inside but undeveloped part of us. Instead, if we can consider that we are MORE than we think we are, we may be able to connect to the More that we truly are. I do not know or need to know where the demarcation ends of what is me at my highest and best and what goes beyond ‘me’.

Accessing More starts by adopting the open minded attitude that it is possible–that you are able to harness greater resources, wisdom and ability that go beyond the limitations of the ego and conscious mind, beyond the subconscious, to the spiritual dimension of the self that is further linked to an even greater consciousness. Start with a positive attitude and set an intention to do so.

Accessing More of both what is within and without is done below the level of conscious awareness. Simply quiet your mind, and go inside to the peaceful part of you, affirm your intention, and allow that inner something to do its work. This approach circumvents the ego, the mind games, circuitous thinking, internal and external blocks, and inhibiting energies that have prevented previous solution to the issue of concern. The process works to solve practical problems, relieve stress, and heal from long-standing issues–even sometimes those that have previously defied resolution. All aspects of your life can be addressed–mental, emotional, relationship, physical, financial, business, and spiritual.

This process can be used anytime, anyplace as a self-help tool by the ordinary person to help himself in real life situations. It can also be used for meditation, constructive self-programming, and in conjunction with other modalities. But hypnotherapists, dowsers, teachers, counselors, life coaches, energy healers, mental health practitioners, and others can also employ it as a full-fledged therapy. It draws upon the principles and practices of hypnosis, Neural Linguistic Programming, dowsing, meditation, prayer and many energy healing methods.

So what exactly is this More?

While it includes your subconscious mind that regulates all of your body functions, automatic behavior, physical, mental and emotional habits, directives and injunctions, beliefs, judgments, and memory, it goes beyond that. I believe that this More is primarily the eternal, infinite intelligence within you that is intrinsically linked to the ultimate consciousness behind all that is. Using this system increases your awareness that you are More than your ego, More than your body and local mind, and More than the individual, spiritual self that people call the soul, to something beyond.

Traditional religious circles say that this More is God, and exists totally outside and apart from the self, and is reachable through prayer, petition, ritual or sacrifice. Unfortunately, all too often prayers beg, whine, or plead in fear without really believing that help will come, or make things worse by focusing on the negative. Consequently, such practices can nullify such help.

Labeling or identifying this More is not important to access the benefits.

In fact, it can get you stuck and mired in mankind’s perpetual argument over philosophical and religious discussions that are, in the final analysis, unprovable and come down to a matter of beliefs. Whether right or wrong, true or false, your beliefs and attitude do make things easier or harder. So adopting a helpful attitude, a curious mind that holds a window of possibility when you desire to solve a problem or achieve a goal is crucial to your success.

The Infinite Intelligence Process is one way to tap into what I call More.

It helps you to adopt an attitude that will make things easier and flow more readily. It makes a big difference in processing overload and releasing stress, and it does so in a very simple way that you can do anytime, any place. Let me show you how you can quickly and easily tap into that incredible wisdom and resources within you on a regular basis!

Harness your anger to get better!

  • Have you ever thought of anger as an OPPORTUNITY to learn and grow?
  • Have you thought that it can prod to do something different and potentially find a better way?
  • That it can push you to go after a better relationship, job, location, home or car?
  • That in getting fed up you make a decision – a decision to change, to do something about your drinking or smoking or other habits, your health, your weight, your lifestyle, or to do a thousand other things you already know you need to do?
  • That it can impress upon you that you need to set better boundaries, to learn to communicate more clearly, to think before you speak or act, to not settle for less, to stand up for yourself, to ask questions instead of making assumptions?
  • That it can alert you to what needs to heal within yourself, old buried wounds, things from childhood, things you thought you got over long ago but didn’t, and motivate you to do something about it now?
  • And that it can cause you to take a good look at yourself and see what other people see in how you effect people, how you ignore, or upset them, how you take them for granted or give them the impression that they can take you for granted?
  • Have you considered that anger can be your TEACHER, your COACH?
  • That it can nudge you off the couch and motivate you into taking much needed and long overdue action to create a life that is meaningful and satisfying?

And have you considered that by using anger in this way, your life will get better?

Learn to harness your anger to help you to become a better person and improve your life.

Over a lifetime, both personally and professionally, I have had the ‘opportunity’ that pushed me to learn about the unconscious forces driving emotional reactions, choices, behavior, issues, and interpersonal problems. And because I like to sleep at night and did not like experiencing negative repeating patterns myself, I was motivated to learn, change and grow.

“Necessity is the Mother of invention.”

What I did learn in order to help myself, helped others as well, and some profoundly so. I compiled much of it in a 154 page content rich manual, Releasing Anger Without Killing Anyone, to assist in facilitating clear communication, resolving internal and external conflicts, enhancing personal growth, and improving relationships of all kinds. Using this material, I have gained greater perspective and maturity. I am seldom triggered, and if I am, I immediately work to heal the causative factors. My sleep is greatly improved, and I have developed inner resources, resiliency and peace of mind. My clients and students also report positive results.

You can learn and teach much of this information right out of the books.

This is some of what the book covers.

  • ReleasingAngerCoverpngBecome aware of underlying beliefs, judgments, faulty assumptions or perceptions that cause anger!
  • Learn more effective communication skills to both avoid unnecessary problems and to address the ones you have!
  • Learn to maintain and regain balance and perspective quickly!
  • Set better boundaries!
  • Learn to fight clean and stop conversations from spiraling downwards!
  • Learn more effective coping skills!
  • Take effective action without the baggage of the past!
  • Use anger to grow in maturity and cast off leftovers of childhood!
  • Allow anger to locate and address your own unhealed wounds!
  • Understand the underlying dynamics of anger!
  • Learn to deal with what is instead of wasting precious energy in resistance!
  • Notice negative patterns and screw them up!
  • Understand and dissolve triggers!
  • Nip anger in the bud by noticing and taking action at the first warning signs!
  • Understand physical reasons for anger so you can address them!
  • Use anger as motivation for much needed healing and change!

When You Are Triggered…

With todays highly charged politics and a media that panders to fear and sensationalism, it is easy to get triggered. Already stressed out with the pressures of your own life, and overwhelmed with everything you need to do to keep your life afloat, you may find yourself emotionally worked up over someone else’s life or problem because it resonances with something deep inside of yourself.

Because of your own history and sensitivities, you may automatically sympathize with one person, group, issue or cause you think is a victim of injustice, and get violently angry with another you prejudge as aggressor frequently before you know all the facts and even despite the ‘facts’. That is because your emotions are really about you and something similar that has happened to you, your loved ones, ancestors or tribe in this lifetime or the distant past that was never resolved, healed and put to rest.

Whether you are particularly sensitive to the slightest hint of racial, religious, gender, tribal, national or ethnic prejudice, the trauma and injustice of the past may be hard wired into your DNA. You may have absorbed and taken upon yourself the injustices done to your ancestors long since dead (even generations or centuries dead) as if it happened to you personally.

A sure hint that the root cause of your upset lies within yourself is when your emotional reaction is excessive to the current situation, when you can’t let it go, when it doesn’t really effect your personal life, and when it happened long ago, perhaps even before you were born.

Every emotional reaction you experience, every evil and type of  injustice that exists today, has occurred before, many times over, and often, many times worse. But because it is occurring again, you suffer much more than perhaps the current situation warrants. If you can heal the prior occasions, your reaction will be only to what is happening now, not added on top of what happened years, generations or lifetimes ago.

What to do about it

When you are triggered by events whether personal, local, national or global, try to:

  • Identify the issue or type of event. Name it.

List some possibilities on paper. If you know how to dowse, then ask if you have any stuck energies on that issue, and the percentage or the degree to which you do. If you don’t know how to dowse, then quiet your mind, and in meditation start asking some questions. Suggestions are below.

  • What is underneath this upset?
  • Where did it come from?
  • Did it originate with me or with my family, my ancestors, my tribe?.
  • Show me the root cause.
  • What wisdom can I extract from it?
  • What positive things can be gleaned?
  • How can I use this situation to grow, to be a better person?
  • How can I turn it into a blessing for myself or others?
  • How can I look at this situation so it doesn’t bother me nearly as much?
  • What is the big picture here?

Hold a willingness to look honestly at yourself. Intend to extract some wisdom or value from both the current event and any experiences of a similar nature. That learning can include an understanding the underlying dynamics, why something may have happened, and perhaps an idea to prevent it from happening again or lessen that possibility. It might mean noting that changes need to be made within yourself even if changes are needed within the larger community.

  • Rather than immediately assigning blame of who is wrong and needs to be punished, consider that what you judge may also reflect a quality inside yourself.

Doreen Virtue taught me to say: “I recognize and forgive in myself what irritates me about you.”

This is related to ‘the shadow self explained at length by psychiatrist, Dr. Carl Gustav Jung and author Debbie Ford. The ego avoids self loathing by denying the existence of faults within the self while projecting those same faults onto someone else. There is a theory that when internal faults that are hidden, ignored, or denied, that this will attract people who share these faults as the soul’s attempt to get you to look at yourself. As you admit your own faults and forgive yourself, you will have greater tolerance of others. Even better, as you heal those faults, you will more likely attract others who have likewise worked on healing their own issues.

The ancient Hawaiians had a practice of forgiveness and reconciliation called Ho’oponopono.  This practice was later simplified by Dr. Hew Lin and popularized by Joe Vitale. In the original practice, a shaman and members of the family or community would gather around a person and take responsibility for what had happened to or by that individual, and ask for his forgiveness. While he was a  prison psychiatrist, Dr. Lin would sit with the file folders of various inmates and repeat “I’m sorry. Please forgive me. I love you. Thank you.” This was done over a period of time without actual inmate contact. Yet this simple practice resulted in such improvement in these prisoners that they were later released.

If practicing Ho’oponopono without relaying that information to an individual still has a positive effect upon that person, it may because of quantum entanglement. While the idea taken from physics of quantum entanglement refers to the interaction of particles at a distance, some think that this interaction extends to humans as well – that everyone and everything is somehow intertwined. Is it too far a stretch to think that what happens to you effects me and vice versa, and maybe even what I think and feel effects you and vice versa? If so, then if you want to change the world, start with changing yourself.

However, if you also believe that changes have to be made within the community and it’s systems or the larger systems outside your locale, take some constructive action because it will go a long way to healing your upset.

  • Focus on what you can do of a positive, practical nature locally to start the process.
  • And, again remember that the changes you would like to see in the world involve making changes within yourself.
  • Meditate or dowse to transmute any trauma or upset you personally suffered recently.
  • Clear any other experiences you remember from your past.
  • 20170516_acc-morecover.jpgHold the intention to clear any other experiences you do not remember whether in this lifetime or another.

You can do this through hypnosis, meditation, the Emotion Code, or the Infinite Intelligence Process that I developed. See my book, Accessing More for instructions on how to do this.

  • Clear those upsets/issues of a similar nature of your ancestors in this lifetime or another, and that experienced by your tribe.

Again, you can do this through the Infinite Intelligence Process, the Emotion Code by Dr. Bradley Nelson, or through dowsing (see my pendulum dowsing manual, Therapeutic Dowsing and Telepathic Healing).

  • dowsing cover front
    R
efocus on the positive opposite that you would like instead.
  • Finally, take action no matter how small to move towards what you would like to see in the real world.

Recent Example

Let’s take the high emotional charge attached to the Kavanaugh proceedings. I bring it up only because it was recent and because I found myself being triggered. I will not discuss the politics or merits of either side, but rather illustrate how to take any triggering event to recognize and clear non-beneficial or stuck energies within yourself. This is important because if you are being triggered, you cannot be objective or think clearly,  sleep easily, enjoy peace of mind or anything else until you do heal, transmute, rebalance, or clear it.
There were multiple possible issues here. If you were triggered, you might ask yourself, if you are carrying any unresolved, stuck energies of your own from this or any other lifetime, or if you are carrying those of an ancestor, loved one, or tribe.
Ask the following questions one at a time starting with “have I ever …..?” After you are finished, repeat the same questions with ” have any of my loved ones..?” Next, ask “am I carrying any trauma from my ancestors regarding….?”
  • Have ____ (I, my loved ones, ancestors) ever been assaulted or lived in fear of same?
  • Have  ____ (I, my loved ones, ancestors) suffered sexual abuse, rape, or fear of same?
  • Have ____ (I, my loved ones, ancestors) been a victim of violent crime?
  • Have ____ (I, my loved ones, ancestors) suffered greatly because of not being believed, but rather ridiculed or punished for speaking up about some wrongdoing?
  • Have ____ (I, my loved ones, ancestors) suffered greatly because of not being heard or fear of not being heard because ____ (I ___ am/was), they ____ (are/were) ___ a (man/woman, member of lower standing caste/group/tribe)?
  • Have ____ (I, my loved ones, ancestors) ever suffered after being falsely accused of some misdoing, crime or serious violation?
  • Has ____ (my, my loved one’s, ancestor’s) reputation, business, standing in the community been destroyed because of false accusations perhaps through politics or someone else’s dislike or personal agenda?
  • Have ____ (I, my loved ones, ancestors) received threats or  ___ (suffered, been captured, imprisoned, tortured, or killed) because of false accusations?
If so, then in  meditative state, hold the clear intention as follows. If you know how to dowse,  then work with a pendulum to indicate your progress.
  •  “There is a part of my being that knows what positive learning I can extract from any this experience of ____ that ___ (I/they) have suffered (or was afraid of suffering). Take action now, and let me know when that is done.
  • “There is a part of my Being that knows if I or anyone close to me in this or another incarnation have ever suffered _____ or lived in fear of suffering ____. And that part is extracting the positive learning from each and every one of those experiences so that it is unnecessary to ever experience it again. Take action now, and let me know when that is done.” dowsing cover front
  • There is a part of my Being that can transmute, heal, and clear all trauma attached to each of these experiences that I and my ancestors have had, so that there is no longer any need to attract more of these experiences. Take action now, and let me know when that is done.”
  • Envision the positive opposite in the future as if it already exists. Follow this with powerful affirmations statements while meditating or dowsing.

  • There is a part of my Being that knows what is mine to do to create a world where _____(there is trust and mutual respect) and is guiding and motivating me to take appropriate steps now.
  • or “There is a part of my Being that chooses to create a world where _____. And that part is working on it. Take action now, and let me know when that is firmly in process.”
  • “There is a part of my Being that knows who else might benefit from any of the healing we have done today and is reaching out to their High Self to duplicate whatever is useful in the way it is helpful and only helpful. Take action now, and let me know when that is done.”

Releasing Anger Example

Applying what you know (or think you do!)

This is a rewrite of an article originally written and posted July 9, 2017

ReleasingAngerCoverpng

The bad news is that when you write a book on anything, especially mine entitled Releasing Anger Without Killing Anyone, the time of sustained focus required to write a book may bring about an experience to apply what you know (or think you do).

(Don’t you just love the Law of Attraction!)

The good news is that you do know (or should know) something to harness that energy constructively and then move it out of your system more quickly than you did in the past.

Think of it as the universe giving you AN EXAM.

Here is an OPPORTUNITY to prove:

  • Do you know what you are talking about?
  • Or have you just been spouting nice sounding platitudes, airy-fairy nothings, intellectual but useless, impractical, untested, unproven ideas and information?
  • Do your techniques actually work and make a positive difference?
  • Is there more yet to learn?
  • How can you set things up to avoid similar problems in the future?

So on June 29, 2017, a tenant, as she was moving out of my house, left water running in the upstairs bathroom. Gallons of water poured down from the second floor to the first floor living room, and down to the basement below. Rugs including a large Oriental, a mattress, books, furniture and other things got wet. Almost half of the living room ceiling had to be replaced, and as repairs were later made, drywall dust was everywhere. Most everything  had to be boxed up and moved out of the living room along with the furniture.

Likewise, two basement rooms were disrupted in order to mop up the water and get things out of harm’s way. So not only was my living room unusable for more than a month but so was the dining room and hall, and those two basement rooms as well.

Immediately taking a long view of the problem, I knew that regardless of how much time, energy, work and out-of pocket expense would be involved, regardless of the bad timing and other demands upon me both health wise and financially, the problem would be eventually fixed, and the house would be restored to it’s former beauty. In other words, the problem was temporary. That tenant is now fully gone from my house, and I have a new, wonderful person living here. I had workmen who would help me clean up the mess.

fullsizeoutput_2cI knew that I needed to harness the anger into constructive action. So I called the appropriate people to get the help and advice I needed, and start and supervise the work.

In the meantime, I did a lot of the Infinite Intelligence Process that I wrote about in my book Accessing More to both dump stress and access my internal guidance and wisdom within.

I did EFT tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique), dowsing for emotional healing, and meditation because I did not want the anger to poison me or cause my health to further deteriorate. Plus, I wanted any and all possible contributory factors resolved.

I also did not want to project my anger back to my former tenant as it would then be a curse on her head. Because I believe that we are all connected, the corollary is that what I send out comes back to me.

To help shift my attention, I focused on what I had to be grateful for. What was left? What was good?

  • Well, certainly the damage could have been much worse.
    • Luckily, I was only away from the house for an hour. Many other precious items in my living room and basement were not ruined even if some got wet, but would have been otherwise.
  • Help was immediately available.
    • Two farm workers were here that day who immediately came in and helped move furniture, mop up the water, take the worst of the ceiling down, and set up fans to dry everything out to lessen the chance of mold.
    • I quickly located and hired a drywall laborer to reinstall new sheetrock and to paint.
    • A friend put me in touch with a cleaning lady who came after the ceiling was repaired. She helped me take down, wash and rehang all curtains in the living and dining room, wash, dust and vacuum everything on the ground floor and upstairs hallway. The net result was that I ended up with a much cleaner house.
    • My insurance agent came quickly, and although I did not file a claim for various reasons, I got the information I needed.

Throughout the process, I asked myself:

  • What could I learn and how could I grow from this experience?
  • How I could prevent something like this happening in the future?
  • What I might have done differently that might have prevented it?

In other words, I was actively looking to pull a blessing out of the experience.

To get all my anger and everything off of my chest I wrote a letter to my tenant. But after writing and rewriting it, I read it to a close friend who is also a lawyer for her input. What upset me most was that my tenant took no responsibility for her actions. Instead she was just blaming me. I felt it necessary that she understand the ramifications of her negligence so she be more careful elsewhere. This stopped the imaginary conversations of what I wished I said to her from continuing to loop in my head.

I learned long ago that:

  1. writing letters that you do not send acts as if you did. It allows you to get everything off of your chest as if you really did say what you wanted to say to them.
  2. pause before sending anything in writing, and then only if you must. Less is better. The written word lasts forever, where spoken ones are quickly forgotten.
  3. Groaning over damage done and what cannot therefore be changed (what’s done is done) is a waste of precious energy. You need to conserve that energy in order to stay healthy and to address the problem.
  4. Complaining to people who cannot help you is an immediate, very short term vent, but counterproductive otherwise.

In fact, complaining or venting beyond the immediate time frame can just be a

  • ploy for sympathy as the ‘victim‘.
  • It can be revenge by getting other people to hate your adversary as well.
  • It can be a substitute for any real action–an excuse not to do anything.
  • It can be justification for your own mistakes and
  • avoidance of any responsibility for what happened, and
  • avoidance of the need to change personally.

Best to talk only to those that can offer some good information and advice while remaining detached emotionally from your issue. And then listen with an open mind.

Only clear eyed, detached processing of everything that happened and why without jumping to attaching blame is helpful. Then accept what can not be changed, create an action plan, and get to work immediately. As you see progress, the quicker your rage will die down.

Personally, I would have loved to had someone just hold me. But since I don’t have a partner, I grabbed a cat and snuggled with him. I sat with my piggies. I hugged my dogs. I looked up at the sky. I picked up and talked to the toads. I noticed some of the abundant sweetness that is on my farm. I remembered that I am loved, that I have meaning and purpose in this world, that this is a beautiful place, and I am choosing to be alive and present.

At other times and places, I may have made love, watched funny movies, gone dancing or done something nice with friends just to discharge energy and regroup. But what is important is that you actively do something.

There is always something still left to enjoy and appreciate—even a memory to lift your spirit.

  • Did I pass? I think so.
  • Will I do things differently in future? Absolutely!
  • Will I forget the lessons? No.
  • Can what I learned help someone else? Yes, I know so.

Blessings in Disguise

All of us can probably think of things like romances, houses, jobs, relocations and more that seemed great at the beginning, but then proved not so great. Maybe even after the luster wore off, we may have hung in there because of our investment in time and money, or not wanting to ‘rock the boat’,  security, or because ‘the devil you know is better than the devil you don’t know.’ Perhaps we tried to hang on because of embarrassment, or not wanting to admit that we were wrong or made a mistake.

We probably also know of those sudden change of fortune — breakups, job or business losses, disappointments or rejections — that seemed to be so horrible at the time, but which led eventually to something much better, and to much needed growth.

We never know how things will turn out

There is an oft told Sufi story about a farmer whose son found a wild horse. “How wonderful,” the neighbors exclaimed, “that your son has this new horse!” “Maybe yes, and maybe no,” said the farmer.

Then the son as he was ‘breaking’ this horse, was thrown off it’s back and broke his leg. “How awful,” said the neighbors, “that your son broke his leg.” Again, the farmer replied, “Maybe yes, and maybe no.”

Then war came to the region and all the young men in the village were rounded up to go into battle. “How wonderful,” said the neighbors, “that your son doesn’t have to go to war.” And once again, the farmer replied, “Maybe yes, and maybe no.”

A true story

My friend, Nelson was told by his boss on a Friday to take his department of 40 people out to lunch and deliver the bad news that because of the Japanese buyout of their firm, that the entire department was being let go.

So after lunch, the security guards walked everyone back to their desk to pick up a 2-week severance check and their personal items before being escorted out the door.

On Friday, they were all in shock and thinking it was something terrible that just happened to them. But on Tuesday, all those not dismissed were dead because they worked on the very floor of one of the Twin Towers in Lower Manhattan where one of the planes came through. The date was 9/11.

Sometimes what looks like the worst thing that could have happened to you turns out to be the best thing that could have happened!

Perhaps we can acknowledge that the job, business, home or relationship we lost had it’s downsides. There may have been things about it that we didn’t like, that we barely tolerated, that were highly stressful, that hemmed us in, that limited our ability to grow or explore as we grew. We may recognize that what we had and once wanted was no longer so, and that we were moving, or about to move, or needed to move in a different direction.

Sometimes, what we lost might have been okay or even good while it lasted, but sudden events caused us to move on to something that was even better and more fulfilling. It might have opened up many new experiences, and to explore other parts of ourselves in wonderful ways that otherwise would not have happened.

Another true story

A couple living in California lost their home and all of their possessions in one of the wild fires that came through their canyon. Totally stressed and not knowing what to do next, they left their jobs, and decided to take six months off while they considered their options.

Deciding to buy and move into a small RV, they started wandering the many national parks. They enjoyed it so much that they started writing a blog, and then went on the speaking circuit to motorhome enthusiasts discussing various aspects of living in a motorhome full time, nice places to visits, and how to make money on the road. It became their new livelihood. They were very happy in their new life and considered the house fire a blessing.

I followed them for a few years while I was doing a small bit of the same after a divorce.

And another true story

A friend of mine in Ohio was woken up by her cat who would just not let her spend a minute more in bed. As she came into consciousness, she smelled smoke. And indeed, the house was on fire. Both she and the cat got out safely. Luckily, the kids had already gone to school and her husband was at work.

The back of this 19th century farm house burnt down. But the rest of the entire house and all the possessions were either soaked and destroyed from water from the firemen’s hoses, or saturated with smoke. All the clothes, rugs, upholstery, and many other belongings had to be trashed.

The family had a trailer brought onto the property as they too decided what to do next. They knew that they wanted to stay there and rebuild as they had friends and roots. But how to rebuild?

My friend gave everyone a sheet of paper. She, her husband and each of the three kids all wrote out their wish list for a ‘dream house’, ideal bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, etc.

Knowing their budget from the insurance, they devised plans on the most important wish list items. The kids got their own bedrooms, and a bath with double sinks and a shower. My friend got a large working area of the kitchen with a large center island open to a dining area of the kitchen big enough for company. She wanted and got a sewing room. Her husband got a comfortable t.v. room and a recliner.

In short, they end up with a wonderful, beautiful, totally renovated and updated ‘new’ house, along with new clothes, new furniture that they couldn’t have afforded ANY OTHER WAY!

My story

More than two decades ago, I was praying to fulfill my purpose or mission in life. Immediately, my marriage fell apart. One day my husband said that he didn’t know if he wanted to be married anymore. I was devastated. Yes, I knew we had problems, but I am one that hangs in there always hoping that things will improve even though I was also not satisfied in the relationship.

Soon after I had a dream about a dilapidated but once beautiful house. It needed tons of work – work that was daunting. Everything had to be renovated even though the house ‘bones’ were good. I was so discouraged and not sure that I was really wanted to go through what it would require to be beautiful again. It could be better for sure, but was it going to be worth it?  Would enough get done so that I would be happy with it?

Then I found out that he was being unfaithful. That was the final straw and was the one thing that would allow me permission to file for divorce. Indeed, it pushed me to do so and move on with my life. And it turned out to be the best possible thing that could have happened. Today, I am grateful for his bad behavior, because it freed me from a toxic situation full of constant lies and distrust.

Conclusion

While like the Sufi farmer, we may not know where life is leading us when hit with what appears to be a sudden loss of good fortune. But we can make a decision that we are going to learn from and grow through it. And that one way or another, we are going to make these sudden changes work for us – even bless us and others.

As I have written about in previous blog articles, you might ask:

  • If it could work, how might it work?
  • If something good can come out of this, what might that be?
  • How can I turn this into an opportunity?
  • How can I grow through this experience?
  • What can I learn from this that not only helps me, but helps someone else?

In short:

  • How can I turn this into a blessing?

Getting to the Root of It

Anyone who has dealt with weeds knows that unless you can dig up the taproot, the weed comes back. And anyone who has gotten a splinter, knows that until you get it all out, the pain continues. Get only part of it out, and it becomes inflamed and perhaps infected. Thinking positive, ignoring it, or trying not to think about it only prolongs the problem and make it worse.

And so it is with negative repeating patterns. Any time there is a negative pattern of any kind, you can bet that the root cause has not been addressed. The only way to change things and stop the same problem occurring over and over again is to find and clear the original issue, which will be the unhealed trauma and the negative belief or judgment about the experience.

If you are successful, you will probably not get any more such experiences, or at least, less of them. But should something similar happen again, it’s effect upon you will be greatly mitigated, and you will much more quickly, and with greater effectiveness, grace and ease handle it in a better way. While the annoying people in your life may not have changed, you will have. Therefore, your experience of it will be different. Because you think differently about things that used to bother you, you feel and respond differently.

Getting to the bottom of issues can be tricky and time consuming.

The original event and the interpretations about it may be unknown, long forgotten or repressed. And instead of just one traumatic event, it may be a layering of multiple events, each reinforcing the detrimental judgment that with a self-fulfilling prophecy that tends to

    • either attract more experiences of like kind,
    • Or you just react and feel as if they are the same type of event even if they are not. In other words, you perceive and feel ____(slight, insult, prejudice, etc.) because you are sensitized, not necessarily because it was intended or actually happened.

Healing requires not only taking corrective action in the moment, but learning from the experience. Through strong intention, you can decide that the very experience that upsets you will enhance your personal and professional growth, adding to your wisdom, your maturity, and your greater value to others as a leader, counselor, mentor and role model. I call this ‘finding the blessing’.

It is not enough to just neutralize the negative emotions.

Learn and grow through them as well.

But then go further.

Ask yourself, “has anything like this happened before?”

If you get a ‘yes’, then your current problem is alerting you to the need to heal these earlier issues now, and perhaps other related additional ones that you don’t remember. If you do find and heal the root cause, the negative pattern will stop. And if that happens, then go and personally thank the person who is your current ‘pain in the butt’, the one that brought the issue to your attention and motivated you to address it.

Layering of memories

We are hard wired as part of our survival mechanism to put meaning to experience – to interpret it as good or bad, threatening or not. It is the interpretation, not the event itself, that determines the emotion that follows. Perhaps you had an upsetting experience and then made a judgment about it, an interpretation of what it meant to you that you forgot or repressed. Perhaps it was never verbalized, or didn’t register consciously because it happened at a young age, in the womb, or in a past life.

We now have scientific evidence from studies done with mice and children of Holocaust survivors that issues and emotions such as fear are being passed on the DNA to the generations that follow. This may be part of the survival mechanism for the species.

But not only can you pick up things up unconsciously from your ancestors in that way, any vividly imagined events especially those with high emotion can register on an unconscious level as if they actually happened to you even if they did not. This includes the stories you hear from your family, your culture, group, or witness in the media. It can include those experiences of book or movie characters that make a deep impression. All of these elements become part of the soup making up your beliefs and judgments, which go on to create or at least influence your future experiences and it’s impact upon you.

Regardless of where or when it originated, it and others like it are stored internally and can effect you until you process or reframe them. Reframing is changing your interpretation of the event.

For example, after a bad accident, you might continue to shake with fear thinking “I almost died”, but you could also interpret it as “if I’m still here, I must have a purpose,” or “I survived and I’m going to celebrate every day because you never know how long you have, or ”I was protected” or “help was there precisely when I needed it.”

As more and similar experiences occur over time, they are added to the previous ones making the event, the emotions and judgements around them more pronounced like a toe that keeps getting stepped on until it becomes very sensitized and you become over zealous in protecting it.  The one-time judgment about someone stepping on your toes then becomes a generalized global judgment, such as “everyone keeps stepping all over me”, or a sensitivity or issue as in “I have constantly be on the alert that no one steps on me again.”

Triggers and other factors

But along with the experience that is logged into your memory bank, so are the various elements of that experience – the sounds, colors, location, season, date, and the various people and other things present. Each element is capable of triggering the entire memory and the emotion connected to it. Such elements are labeled triggers. But in addition to the elements present at the time of the experience, you can also react to other things not involved in the bad experience itself, but merely associated with the person, places or things that were involved.

For example, if you have a bad breakup with your boyfriend, you can understand why you to feel uncomfortable should you bump into him again. But now you may very well experience discomfort upon seeing one of his friends or relatives, or hearing one of the bands that both of you enjoyed, your favorite song, or being in a place that you used to go to together. Everything you associate with that boyfriend can awaken all the painful emotions and reasons for the break up. These are triggers too.

With some triggers, you clearly know where the emotion such as the fear comes from. But with other emotions, fears, tension or uneasiness, you may not remember the connection. These are more properly labeled as phobias. The fear seems irrational because the connection to the event that caused it has been lost. So it is not just the upsetting event that needs to be cleared, but also all of the triggers, many of which you may be unaware of until they are activated.

Multiple modalities help to find and process the issue.

1. Meditation

One way a person can get clues is through meditation. Just still your mind and let a question roll around in your mind. For example:

  • “where does this ____ (emotion/ issue/ problem of ____) come from?”
  • Or, “what do I need to know or let go of to heal this issue fully and completely now?”
  • Or, “how can I look at this experience so that it doesn’t bother me nearly as much?”
  • Or, “why does this problem/issue of ___ keep happening over and over again?”

2. The Infinite Intelligence Process

The Infinite Intelligence Process is a 3-prong modality that I developed. It can be used with meditation, formal hypnosis, self-hypnosis, or dowsing. I use it daily to clear my mind so that I have a restful sleep, quickly process the events of the day, relieve stress, chip away at issues, access internal resources, and, in general, speed up problem solving and make life go smoother. You can learn it through my book Accessing More – Tapping into the Eternal, Unlimited Self with the Infinite Intelligence Process.

You could utilize phrases like:

“There is a part of my Being that knows where this ___ (emotion/ issue/ problem of ____) comes from and is bringing everything that I need to know into my awareness so that it can be healed/resolved now.”

Or “There is a part of me that knows how to heal/resolve this in a way in which I am really pleased, and is doing so now.”

Or after installing the Process Program that is activated with trigger words of process followed by go, you could say:

“From the perspective of my High Self, process and resolve everything to do with the problem of ____ in a way in which I am really pleased. Go.”

3. Hypnosis

Hypnosis has multiple methods of regressing to cause and then resolving the issue. In age regression, the information is brought up into awareness, verbalized in the hypnosis. The client is then guided in reframing or otherwise resolving the issue until it seems complete. My favorite hypnotic techniques are called ‘unconscious healing modalities’ because they operate below the level of conscious awareness and do not involve any verbalization by the client. The hypnotherapist creates depth of trance, establishes an ideomotor response, gets the agreement of the unconscious mind to locate and resolve the issue by itself. The instructions include to resolve the issue “in a way in which ___ (name) is ‘really pleased”.

4. Neural Linguistic Programming (NLP)

Time Line Therapy outlined in a book by the same title is a specific technique within NLP developed by Tad James and Wyatt Woodsmall. It is very helpful to quickly clear issues for which you don’t know the origin. It works below the level of conscious awareness. The instructions include “find the positive learning and release the upset.”

5. The Emotion Code

This method was developed by Dr. Bradley Nelson and works with muscle testing. But I use pendulum dowsing instead to locate the issue and determine the degree to which it is involved. Even if I use a magnet or running my fingers along the governing meridian as he suggests, I will also use dowsing to clear it further, and then check the degree to which I was successful.

6. The Emotional Freedom Technique

Tap on the issue and everything around it including “Even though I may not know where this _____ (issue, emotion, problem of ___) comes from, I deeply love and accept myself.”
There are other energy modalities as well to change beliefs.

7. Dowsing

20190411_dowsing cover

Pendulum dowsing using charts and checklists specially created for this purpose can quickly find the root cause and related factors of any issue. You can learn to do on your own, anytime day or n

ight. No appointment and no wait time is necessary. It can find information that is not accessible either at all or not as easily found another way. It is extremely helpful in all problem solving, but especially helpful when the original cause is unknown, unconscious, forgotten, repressed, picked up in the womb or from the culture or tribe, or even stemming from past lives.
